I love secondary patterns. This easy quilt uses high contrasting fabric to highlight a fun secondary pattern. I am excited to share my Bradley Street quilt with you. I named the pattern after the street my favorite grandma lived on. Visiting was always the highlight of every summer. I have lot of memories walking up and down and in the little circle across from her house. I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do.

This quilt/project finishes at 68" x 68".
5 charm packs of the same line
1.5 yards print for flying geese
2.0 yards white
4.5 yards for back
CUTTING
Flying geese print (dark):
Cut (18) 2.75” strips. Sub cut these strips into 2.75” X 5” pieces. You need a total of 144.
Background (white):
Cut (24) 2.75” strips. Sub cut these into 2.75” x 2.75” squares. You need 288 for the flying geese. Set aside the remaining 36.
Charm packs:
Charm squares (144). Open your charm packs. Remove the color of charms you are using for your flying geese as well as any light prints. These prints will blend in with the flying geese and background, not giving the desired appearance.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Use a 1/4” seam allowance, unless otherwise noted. Press in the direction of the arrows.
ASSEMBLY
To make your flying geese, draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of each white 2.75” x 2.75” square (288). Place a square on the end of the print 2.75” x 5” rectangle. Sew on the drawn line. Cut .25” to the outside of the sewn line. Press open. Repeat with another white square on the other side of the rectangle. You will have a completed 2.75” x 5” inch flying geese. For each block you need 4 flying geese.
Choose four charm squares. For the first row, take one charm square and sew one flying geese with the point, pointing left, on the right side of the charm square. Sew another charm square on the right side of the flying geese.
For the next row, sew a flying geese, pointing up, to a 2.75” x 2.75” unmarked white background square that was set aside. Sew another flying geese on the right side of the white square, pointing down.
For the third row, take another charm square and sew a flying geese on the right side pointing right. Sew the final charm square to the right side of the flying geese.
Now sew the rows together. Your block should measure 11.75” square. Make 36 blocks.
FOUR BLOCK ASSEMBLY
After you have finished your blocks, sew them together in groups of four following the diagram. This bigger block measures 23” finished. Note the rotation of some of the blocks.
QUILT ASSEMBLY
Sew the (9) nine bigger blocks together into the completed quilt top—three rows with three blocks each. Finished size 68” x 68”.
This quilt finishes at 68" x 68".
