Thank you for joining me today for my block Winter Chalet in the Countdown to Christmas quilt along!  I'm Carole, and I blog at From My Carolina Home. The lovely blues and teals of the Winter Frost collection bring to mind mountain views and snowy days.

Winter Chalet is one of the block options in the 2020 Countdown to Christmas - Winter Frost. For more info about this quilt-along, check out the Frequently Asked Questions and join our Moda Bake Shop Bakers group. Find all the blocks {here}.

Chef's Notes:

The paper pieced version of the pattern goes together quickly. I recommend that you color the sections so you don’t get confused as to which color goes in which area, as the colors are close in value. Set your printer to ‘print actual size’ not ‘fit to page’ to get the pattern to print correctly. Print the paper piece pattern of your size choice, and cut the sections apart.

Refer to the Printer Friendly file for the paper piecing patterns plus an alternative traditionally pieced version of this block in 12 inches.

YIELD

6" or 12" finished block

INGREDIENTS

This block is a great way to use scraps from the blocks you've made so far! Make sure they are generous enough to cover the piece on the template.

If those are correct, the rest will be as well. For the 6-inch finished size, the top section should measure 6-1/2-inches to the cutting lines.
